well I think these are two different words used for similar purpose of work done by any search engine.

Indexing is a process to make a webpage searchable on search engine whereas the process of caching refers to providing a reprinting content snapshot.

Indexing is a process where search engine has detected our site and show it at the page. Caching is a term that describe our site is stored at a place (server, computer, software, etc).

Caching refers to providing a reprinting content snapshot when Search Engine bot or crawler come to your page or found any update on site, this process is "Cache". While indexing is a process to make a webpage searchable on search engine and Index means pages added on Google database.

cacheing means certain time peroid when website was crawling by crawel and index is data base

Indexing means ranking or placing a website at a particular number in search results and caching means keeping record of the data of that webpage in search engine memory.
