A VPS is just like a dedicated server in terms of functions it offers to its users like root SSH access, Shared Web Hosting is the most everyday sort of budget web hosting service.

VPS Hosting
VPS Hosting includes our 256M, 512M, and 1024M VPS Hosting Plans. VPS Hosting is similar to owning a Condo. While you still share things on the property, you are ultimately responsible for maintaining your own property and repairs inside the condo. There is also significantly less residents per building and assigned parking. On a Virtual Private Server, you are allotted resources that are not shared by everyone. The over all CPU time and memory are shared across all accounts on the machine, but at the same time portions of those resources are always dedicated to each account. This allows for more power and flexibility than being on a shared account.
Dedicated Hosting
Dedicated Hosting includes our Essential, Advanced, and Elite Dedicated Server Hosting Plans. Dedicated Hosting can be compared to owning a house. You are allowed and have access to all resources available on the machine. No one else's account resides on the machine (your house) and would not be capable of tapping into your resources.

It is the same difference as between a dedicated server and usual shared hosting. With a VPS, you receive all the power of dedicated hosting with the ability to have your own set of services and customizable disk space.

VPS Hosting
PROS
VPS hosting (https://www.esds.co.in/vps-hosting) is more powerful compared with shared hosting and free hosting
You will have a full and flexible control with your assigned resources
It has better security and performance compared to free and shared hosting
It’s less expensive than a full Dedicated hosting plan that uses a physical server
Almost isolation from another VPSs running on the same physical machine
It’s very easy to upgrade to the higher resources if needed
CONS
Many VPS plans can be customized to meet your business requirements so you pay for what you want
You will need a little bit technical skills to manage well your VPS hosting
It’s more expensive than a shared hosting with clients who just want a little resource
Shared hosting
PROS
Most common use by wide variety requirements, from personal to small or medium businesses
Almost shared hosting plans are cheap but there are some specific plans with additional fee
Almost shared hosting plans come with free domain name
Always have technical support via ticket, email or forum
Easy to upgrade to higher plans when needed
CONS
Because they use a single server to share between many clients, so there are some security risks introduced
Because using sharing resources, so if your websites have a huge traffic or using much CPU resources, you need to upgrade to the higher plans
If one site getting harmful for the server, others may be affected due to using the shared single server.
You’re maybe restricted in using some programming language and file type supported (it’s based on each hosting provider)

A shared hosting plan hosts multiple accounts on a single dedicated IP address. They are usually used to save costs and space for hosting. Shared hosting is not very recommendable as they do not provide data security as the same space and IP address is shared between multiple clients.
I agree with this post but vps hosting better than shared hosting becuase.shared hosting very low speed and many client are available in one server but vps is virtual private server best server provide good speed high bandwidth and many more etc.

Web Hosting is called Shared Hosting. It includes our Business Class Hosting Plans. Shared Hosting is very similar to living in an Apartment Complex. In Web Hosting you will be having limited administrative access, all accounts must share the available resources with all the other accounts on the server. These include CPU time, memory, and disk space. Web hosting is a less expensive way for businesses to create a Web presence, it is usually not sufficient for Web sites with high traffic. With either VPS or shared hosting, you will share the resources of a physical server with other customers. With shared hosting, though, none of those resources are ever exclusively yours. A shared server may host dozens of websites, and the server allocates resources to those websites as needed. With VPS hosting, you will share a physical server with only a few other customers. The server will allocate your resources to you even if your website isn't busy enough to require them. Also VPS is more expensive than shared hosting.

Shared hosting is a way for hosting companies to put a large number of users on the same server. And Compared to a shared hosting service, a VPS is a technically superior solution in almost every single way.
