I am on middle stage SEO and I have few websites but are not ranking well. but its not an issue. my

question is that?

what else i can do to gain good quality backlinks except "directory submission and two way, 3 way

linking".

I know few methods
article submission
fourm posting
blog creation

all these are time consuming works and less effective.

if you have any other strategy to get good links those can help to improve ranking, please share here.
