Has anyone ever heard of seventwentyfour.com? They have a service which checks links inside a website but also checks external links from websites to a particular website. This exposes 404 pages as webmasters move pages or rename them while other sites maintain a link to a missing page. The problem with their service is it’s a bit expensive – do you know of anyone else providing such as service?

For internal links verification, there are number of tools, many of them desktop applications. For incoming links, you can always use MSN or yahoo, even these tools query these sites. i dont find any particulr reason for a paid service, unless you really dont care about money!

Yes, alemcherry is right. There's no need to go with a paid service when there are many of free services out there that can do just the same thing.

I second you on this as there are really quite a good quality tools available that too for free then why would one like to go for a paid service?

I believe http://www.submitexpress.com also has a link validator on their site. You might want to check that out.

It is for this reason that the PHP code is rooted into the HTML main document and converted with the help of a web server which has a PHP processor unit that produces the web page text.

There are different types of tools that help to verify internal links. You can always make use of tools so as to launch an exhaustive search.
