If its submission to article directories, its a NO but if its web/ blog directories I still find them a good source of traffic and backlinks and I’m up for it.

Directory submissions such as DMOZ can be termed ‘boring’ since they have a strict selection criteria (you might have to wait till eternity) but there are lot of popular directories out there with a more lineant procedure who welcome you with open hands (provided you maintain quality).

I agree with you, directory submission is boring thing to do. One thing more i think it is mainly used when website is very new or recently launch as it help in index of website...

All work are feel to boring when you not get enjoy in it . Directory submission is a way for getting back-links and visitors also .

I don't think so. It give you a lot of business and help you a good way to promote the product and services. Most of the internet marketer are using these directory submission for getting increase their sales and hence how it is more effective way in getting more customer to their business.
