Please tell me,

Do you put your keyword in the hyperlink text like<a href=wwww>

or do you put your keyword as your name of the person commenting on the post?

Also, do you need to ping you backlinks or will they get indexed later on in the future?

If you ping your link then it is bettr but if you do not ping there is no problem google index it itself

Hyper link in the targeted keyword is beneficial for keyword improvement. So always put hyper link in your keyword.

Blog commenting is one of the good technique for optimize the website quickly. You can get more back links and through which you will improve the traffic to your site. You can also get high page rank with blog commenting.

Both keywords and your name in anchor text should work fine but then it entirely depends on blog guidelines.

A recommended practice would be to at least include your name, and not just a straight keyword. (name@keyword.com).

Although backlink pinging is not necessary but there is no harm in doing it either.

Blog comment is helpful to get a good quality of backlink. It also helpful to get referral visitor the website. It is more helpful to increase the page rank of the website.
