To know if the directory link is SEO friendly check the page source of one of the link pages in the website of the directory. Right click on it and you will see 'View Page Source'. Click on option and then look for the code. If it shows "noindex or nofollow" or both, do not submit to that directory as it is not search engines friendly and your submissions will count for nothing and the search engines will not follow them. But on the other hand, if you check the source code and the links appear in the typical HTML-href-format, it shows that the directory is SEO friendly.
