Choosing one of the two would not be fair enough since both are great sources of
backlinks provided for which purpose you are using them.

Press releases are beneficial only in case you want to announce something newsworthy.
Blog posting on the flip side is more of a conversational style and not ideal for announcements.


Blog posting helps you establish yourself in the community thus building up your social media reputation while you don’t have any such thing with Press releases.
