What is the difference b/w off page and on page in seo?

On page means Work on our website and off page means Out side of website.

On page-we do all changes or modification on live website whereas in OFF page-nothing to do on live website and we do everything off page.We promote website through other resources.

And In Off page optimization you dont work directly on website but you work for website, it also known as link building services.
