I wouldn't disregard Yahoo! when we're talking about search engine optimization, because Yahoo! also has a search engine, and you would want your site to be on the top ranks of their search results for the keyword that you picked. There's no "best" search engine, in my opinion. There's a dominant search engine, and I'll give Google that title.
