White Hat SEO refers to the sets of techniques that follow all the rules and guidelines of the search engines like Google. It is an ethical way of increasing ranking of a website i.e. its (SERP’s). However, it takes some time but result obtained from this technique will last longer.
On the other hand, Black Hat techniques are just opposite to the white hat ones, as these techniques are unethical and illegal means of violating Google’s guidelines.

There are mainly two types of techniques, White Hat Technique and Black Hat Technique. The results depends on which technique you are using, White Hat Technique is Search Engine Friendly. With the help of it you can good positive results while if you are using Black Hat Technique then you will get results soon but not for long term and there are sure chances to be penalized by Google if you caught in Google's eye. There are some activities like Keyword Stuffing, Hidden Text, Page Jacking, etc... which are included in Black Hat Technique.

If you are following the guideline of google then it is called the white hat. otherwise that comes in black hat.Keyword Stuffing or Spamming Meta Tags
Link Farming and Doorway Pages these are in black hat.

For White hat you have to Choose a Solid Keyword Phrase for title and Quality Content for the Description. and Ethical link building.

White Hat SEO describes the ethical practices used to optimize a website in order to achieve optimal online visibility. The technique refers to the use of tactics and SEO strategies that focus on a human audience (as opposed to just the search engines) and follows search engines rules and policies. White Hat SEO requires more time to generate results, but the improved rankings remain stable over an extended period of time, promoting long term SEO results and being the most effective process of website optimization

Black Hat SEO looks to achieve high rankings in the search engines, but uses techniques and strategies that are determined as unethical and that do not comply with the search engines rules and policies. It is perceived as an aggressive SEO tactic that can generate quick results that usually do not last long and could lead to getting your website banned or penalized by search engines.
