I have used to use x10 hosting before for my website when I still had one but seeing as how fast the internet world is, I was wondering if they are still on top of their game.
They're support and reliability are great as far as my experience is concerned. In terms of PHP support, they allow CMS like Joomla and wordpress.
Any ideas on who the best host is for sites that are built in PHP?
I'd recommend you to choose cheap hosting (http://www.hostdone.com/) plans offered by hostdone.com taking into account your needs.
It has an amazing reputation for providing secured hosting service at very competitive price along with superb customer service.

Each reputable web hosting company who has a long experience in this industry is capable to provide the best hosting services for PHP or any other programming language. So what you need to do, compare each service provider's hosting plans to determine which one meets your demands.

Our 2012 Best PHP Hosting Award goes to WebHostingHub.com, a professional web hosting service provider, that's been around since 2001. Truly reliable hosting services from Web Hosting Hub are very powerful and suited for both small personal websites and large CMS-based PHP-driven portals. Web Hosting Hub is the top-notch php hosting provider in the United States, and one of the best web hosting companies in the world.

I believe that there are tons of web hosting providers claiming they offer the best PHP hosting services.
But it will be reasonable to choose Reputed, time-tested web host that has servers close to the target of your audience.

It is a web programming language that allows you to quickly create dynamic web pages and applications. You can connect to a database and dynamically create a web page based on user input. Practically all Linux hosting supports PHP but some do it better than others.

Well, there are many web hosting providers available in the market and not all of them are reliable.
It seems to me that the comparison is a good way to find a host. as for the best PHP hosts, can suggest:
Glowhost.com
Hostforweb.com
Vistapages.com
Their customer support is exceptional. If you have a question about any one of the web hosting service on their site, they have a friendly, dedicated team to get you answers fast.
Compare them and choose the best. Good Luck!

A lot of useless hosts has already been recommended to you. Most of the unknown hosts are being recommended by the owners themselse, without any doubt. I recommend selecting only well known hosts.

Excellent advise my friend and yes you are tolaly correct about the free board hosts with there restrictions ,thats why i wanted to go alone and just make one from free host like bighost or something , i forgot the name now but there are many out there to choose from fighting to be the best lol
this way i can just upload my phpbb onto a free host and have full control and as long as i do nothing illegal i should be fine for a long time ahead .
Im not sure about this shearing host idea but that's only coz i don't know much about it ???
My main idea is to get the best free host and stay here with phpbb.com and i think im good to go
its so hard to find the best free host like bighost to put a good clean legal forum on there's days lol

Best PHP Web Hosting Award Winner. Find out who's named the 2012 Best PHP Web Host based on the customer reviews and company performance.
All I can say hostdone.com offers an exceptional value, reliable technology, and very good customer support.
Their cheap hosting (http://www.hostdone.com/) plans will suit all your specifications.
I needed a lot of additional help getting things sorted out as my previous host organized things quite differently, but I can honestly say that I'm confident in the efficient, flexible, and powerful services available to my sites through them.

A useful thing to know would be whether or not this is a new forum or one that is already running. Most new discussion boards are small so any host will do as long as they have the required PHP and MySQL. But if you got an established one that got booted from one host it may actually be time for a VPS. If you're not willing to go that route then you're just going to be jumping host to host in an attempt to get on a machine with that host that is underloaded.
