A sandbox is a security mechanism for separating running programs. It is often used to execute untested code, or untrusted programs from unverified third-parties, suppliers, untrusted users and untrusted websites.

If you were to ask Google’s Matt Cutts, he would insist that the Google Sandbox is nothing more than an running rumour which some people have come up with to try and explain their own poor efforts at SEO. Google representatives have repeatedly announced that Sandbox phenomena is just a myth!!

Now, what people assume to be the ‘Sandbox effect’ is usually a penalty slapped by Google for employing bad SEO practices...If you employ white hat SEO techniques (on-page and off-page); there is no reason why you won’t get indexed fast!

A sandbox is a testing environment that isolates untested code changes and outright experimentation from the production environment or repository, in the context of software development including Web development and revision control. Sandboxing protects "live" servers and their data, vetted source code distributions, and other collections of code, data and/or content, proprietary or public, from changes that could be damaging (regardless of the intent of the author of those changes) to a mission-critical system or which could simply be difficult to revert. Sandboxes replicate at least the minimal functionality needed to accurately test the programs or other code under development (e.g. usage of the same environment variables as, or access to an identical database to that used by, the stable prior implementation intended to be modified; there are many other possibilities, as the specific functionality needs vary widely with the nature of the code and the application[s] for which it is intended.)

Google created the Sandbox filter for new sites to stop spam sites that purchase numerous inbound links and rank highly for their keywords from the date of launch. Google temporarily reduces the page rank of new domains placing them into what is referred to as its “sandbox”.

Sandbox is actually a database of google search engine where newly created websites are kept for some period of time for verification so just to figure out that the newly created websites are worthy of getting ranked in the Search engine page results or not .........

Google sandbox is a place where search engine places the new domains after temporarily reducing their page ranks. The waiting period of a domain is for few weeks before bringing them in top SERP rankings.

Google's sandbox is a filter that appeared to be put in place back in March of 2004.It's effect is a filter to apply to Google's new websites that want to be among the search results for phrases in particular. Even with good content, lots of incoming links, a new website still suffering from the Sandbox effect. Google Sandbox acts as a probationary period for new websites.

Once Google deems a website to be of quality and importance the website will be removed from the Sandbox and can potentially show up high in Google Search Engine Results Pages. Webmasters can do numerous things to improve their website with Google, but time really is the key in getting out of the Sandbox. Sandbox believers say it can take anywhere from 6 months to a year and sometimes longer before Google will promote a website out of the Sandbox.

The Google Sandbox refers to an alleged filter out that prevents new web sites from ranking in Google's top results. To answer those questions, I reached out to 3 search engine optimization practitioners to analyze what they consider Google sandbox in 2018, primarily based on their experience with new websites
