Google Penguin Vs Google Panda

Hello people,

Everyone knows that Google launched the another tool for search engine but I don't know about Google Penguin or comparison between Panda and Penguin.

Can anyone tell me the difference? Thanks

After Penguin 1.0 was released, Google also explained that a Panda update was rolled out a few days before Penguin (on 4/19). Then, to make matters even more confusing, Google rolled out a Panda refresh on 4/27. To quickly recap, Panda rolled out on 4/19, then Penguin on 4/24, and then a Panda refresh on 4/27. Yes, that’s essentially an algo sandwich special, with a side of insanity. As you can imagine, webmasters that aren’t extremely familiar with SEO could very easily think they were hit by Penguin (since that was the primary topic during the time period).

Google panda : It is the earlier update made by Google to prohibited or penalized those website who used the copy content.
Google Penguin : It is the latest update made by Google to prohibited or penalized the over optimized websites or blogs.

Both are algorithm of google. Google penguin is penalized to website which has low quality, over optimization and irrelevant backlinks. On other hand, google panda is penalized to website which has duplicate content.

Google panda rules are keyword are penalized if you used duplicate content or spamming but the latest penguin said that you not used free directory because there are so spam.

Google has announced Google panda 3.5, 3.6 and Google Penguin update in April months, there is quietly difference between Google panda and penguin, both are created with the aim to provide pure relevant search results to users.

Google Panda is about to punish low quality websites with poor content while Google penguin is about to punishes spammer website with spam link, keyword stuffing, link farm etc… or we can say penguin is about over optimization.

Agreed with Raju, The slightly difference is that Panda is for contents and Penguin is for links. :)
