The latest update is Penguin. It will give more focus on content as well as the links to your site.

There was a Panda data refresh (Panda 3.5) on 19th April, 2012. All refreshes just re-emphasise the main Panda’s key concern i.e reducing rankings for sites with duplicate/ spun/ low quality/ less informative content.

A more latest update is the Penguin update weeding out sites with a severe lack of unnatural links.

I think he's asking about Google SEO related updates, not about updating Google Chrome.
