What is the difference between white-hate and black-hate SEO.?

I am going to join the profession of SEO i have some idea about search engine optimization but have no clear idea of white-hate SEO and Black_hate SEO. I hope i will be help out from this forum community.

As I know White hat are official technique or methods to optimize website and black hat are prohibited technique to gain optimize your site in search engine. It can get you to the top of search engines faster, but is typically short lived.
