Linux vs Windows hosting

I am here to give you a brief comparison between Linux and windows web hosting. Windows cost you more while Linux is open free platform to go with. Windows allows product integration which is hardly possible in case of Linux operating system. Moreover windows is more suitable for script based website while Linux is considered best for those sites which use technologies like cold fusion, MYSQL, apache etc. You can also share your point to give a better comparison between two.

Depends on what you need it for..
If you want to host asp pages you have to go with windows
and for php i would suggest linux.Both can be good but i prefer windows hosting

The difference between both is little and it is all about your requirement needs, I wouldn't vote for whom is the best but I am using linux now.

Linux is cheap and bettter. but to run any widows based application like asp .net, SQL need windows hosting

We run both Windows and Linux servers and the differences I've seen between them are:

- Linux has more features and things tend to work out of the box more quickly.
- Windows is more stable and rarely do you ever have to deal with any sort of load or abuse issues. However, it is more nit picky and requires a lot more nitty gritty work to get things to work properly sometimes.

I use both of them, but personally i feel that Windows is more better.
Specially i really enjoy working on Windows 7. So my vote goes with Windows.
