Article submission / Link exchange could get you penalised - be careful. Forum posting / bog commenting can help in small measures. Directory submission is useless and over doing could be harmful. Wiki links - please don't abuse / spam.

Article Submission and Guest Post is the best for good ranking . Because it able to optimize the keywords well with relevant keywords as well in same article and it look to be more informative and relavant.
Post and baclink is less but quality and strong link juice is the main advantages to get better ranking.
