Do you want to get tons of free exposure for your website? Sure you do. Most sites, however, don't understand how to go about it. In an overly eager push to get noticed, they resort to spamming techniques that at best annoy the people you want to support you and at worst, get you blacklisted. While it can be frustrating building a following, you must be careful not to let the cart out in front of the horse. Never fear, though. There are tools and techniques that you can use to link bait and get free backlinks for your website. How is it done? Keep in mind the following considerations, and you'll soon have more traffic than you ever thought possible from the time of setting out on your web journey.

Link baiting is about writing a website content that increases the curiosity for the readers and wants them to link back to one's website(Either it may be a blog, article, etc). It mainly helps in building effective links and increases the visibility of your website too.

Link bait is any content or feature, within a website, designed specifically to gain attention or encourage others to link to the website. Matt Cutts defines link bait as anything "interesting enough to catch people's attention." Link bait can be an extremely powerful form of marketing as it is viral in nature. The term often has a negative or dismissive connotation. The content for link baiting would be a text, image, audio or video clip and it interesting enough to catch the people’s attention.

Link Baiting is one of the techniques most valued by search engines but one of the most difficult to achieve, as it only get hundreds of links to an article if it really adds value.
