Difference in backlinks

Hi friends,
Can anyone tell me why when I try to see how many backlinks I have Yahoo shows hundreds google only a few?

backlinks are the links , or traffic you are getting from other links

if your site has more ads than content you will be looked upon harshly balance your site for better ranking.

Delete Cache and Cookies. May be it would helpful. I have done same for my sites.

if you want to check your exact back-link then go To Google webmaster tool and there you can get a list of all your back-links...

Hi Haseem,

Yahoo and Google have different crawling strategies. It's not must both show same back links. I think you need more work for Google. Use Google Analytic, Google Webmaster tool, submit your site in Google then you will get more back links from Google. First try it, if not work ask again.

The difference is because of the two different search engines which use different algorithms to analyze ranks and backlinks of the website.

For checking backlinks and traffic you can try different tools. For traffic checking most people use Google Analytics and for backlink checking they use Google Webmaster.

Yes both yahoo and Google have different Strategies . Google gives more importance to Do-follow Back-links .

Because yahoo and google do crawl backlinks in different way and some site might be banned or not crawl by search engine so the numbers will be different .
Try to use google websmaster tools to check all the inbound links, i believe that is most accurate one.

I think the reason of this difference is different of indexing mechanism of this two search engine .
Just one of them didn't index backlinks yet .

Go to your webmaster tools and check from there, or check from backlinkwatch.com... Thanks

Google is a little more picky about what it considers to be a backlink. Google does not clearly show all backlinks whereas yahoo shows all the backlinks.
