The faster your site load the better seo benefit you would get, for fast loading, you need to reduce usage of flashy stuffs like images etc.

First identify the cause for loading time. I always use site 24 x 7 web page analyzer for analyzing my load time. Most of the time i find some high quality images, some external bookmark scripts takes much time to load. I will work on optimizing that.

i used compressed images and videos in our site, it will helps to improve loading speed

My site takes 10 seconds to load full page, If i want more faster than that, i will remove some resources from my site to gets quick access.

As per my knowledge more faster is also harmful for our website because it is increase our bounce rate. So loading time should be unique.

you can compress your images more and make sure you are using the most appropriate image type for the images you have.Don't use flash in your site it can slow your website loading speed.
