Does buying twitter followers and facebook fans help with SEO?

Somebody linked me to a site where you can apparently buy real followers and fans for cheap(ish) tiedyestyle.org/ has anybody used them before? Is it safe to use these kind of services? I don't see how it could be detected... But does it help give you more weight in google if your twitter and facebook link back to your site and they have a lot of followers/fans? Has anybody experienced a boost from this? Thanks for the help

I agree with amittrch's view , indeed, it can't help you, because your fans is not activated, it only a number, even if it has reached the number of thousands of still equal to 0...
