How many backlinks do I need to take my site top page?

For some keywords, my site ranks on 3rd page and for some keywords it ranks on 7th and 8th page so how many backlinks do I need to more to get to the first page. My site

Nobody can tell you the exact answer of your question. However I would suggest you to be consistent with your link building process and try to get links from high PR sites.

It is not the number plays a major role in ranking a website, it is the quality of the backlink which you get for your site will help you in ranking a site even for a highly competitive keyword also.

If you got 50 quality backlink then this is better than 100 backlinks.
