Negative keywords are keywords within a paid search campaign that PREVENTS your ad from showing up. For example, if you are promoting a mobile phone app, but not one available on the Android platform, you want to place ‘Android’ as a negative keyword so your ads do not show up when someone is searching for phrases like ‘mobile apps android’.

Negative keywords are any terms or phrases that you add in your account for which Google will not serve your ads. These negative keywords are added to refine traffic, improve relevancy, etc.

Hi Friends

A type of keyword that prevents your ad from being triggered by a certain word or phrase. It tells Google not to show your ad to anyone who is searching for that phrase.

Thanks and Regards

Hello All,

Negative keywords can help you reach the most interested customers, reduce your costs, and increase your return on investment. When you add terms as negative keywords (for "Search Network only" and "Search & Display Networks" campaigns) or as keyword exclusions (for "Display Network only" campaigns), your ad won't show to people searching for those terms or visiting sites that contain those terms.

A negative keyword is term from Google AdWords and is a form of keyword matching. This means that an advertiser can specify search terms that they do not want their ad to be associated with. Negative keyword matching ensures that only qualified traffic is clicking on the ad.
