It is apparent that a lot of people these days are becoming more and more aware of the uses of this matter called as the SEO. We really cannot blame them as this is one of the most advertised services that we can see in the online world at the current times. Do you know that there are lots of companies that could offer prime search engine optimization or SEO services? We have to make sure that we are making the right choices when it comes to this whole matter if we will be spending big amounts of money on it as a form of investment. Do you have any more ideas about the whole matter today?

I would keep hierarchy in tact for a few reasons:

1. Far easier for everyone involved. Designers, CMS, users, etc.
2. Hierarchy shows a narrowing to a subject/topic naturally

With that said, yes some SEO people tend to agree that keeping keywords as far left as possible is a good thing. Should you go so far as break a logical hierarchy or completely get rid of categories/directories? No.

Google "Bruce Clay structured urls" (not sure I have enough clout to post links on the forums yet) for some insight into the process.
