Our credit card on file with them expired and *ONE WEEK* later they killed the entire site after we were long term customers. No phone call. No apology. We've been a good dedicated customer of theirs. And the only reason payment wasn't made was an expired credit card. (which just needed to be updated)

They don't care at all about their customers. AVOID!!!

Did they send you a reminder to update your CC details? We always send a minimum of 3 email remainders to update billing details, before shutting somebody's site.

We sent you a notice saying your credit card was expiring:

07/01/2007 4:30:24AM Credit Card Expiration Notice <email cut> Yes

We sent you an email saying you had a new invoice:

08/20/2007 4:30:06AM New Invoice <email cut> Yes

We sent you multiple emails saying you had an Overdue invoice:

09/04/2007 3:36:15PM Invoice Reminder <email cut> Yes
09/04/2007 3:20:53PM Invoice Reminder <email cut> Yes
09/03/2007 9:43:54PM Invoice Reminder <email cut> Yes
09/03/2007 4:30:23AM Overdue Invoice <email cut> Yes
08/31/2007 4:30:20AM Overdue Invoice <email cut> Yes
08/28/2007 4:30:16AM Overdue Invoice <email cut> Yes
08/27/2007 6:19:09PM Invoice Reminder <email cut> Yes
08/25/2007 4:30:16AM Overdue Invoice <email cut> Yes
08/24/2007 4:31:13PM Invoice Reminder <email cut> Yes

All of these were sent to the email address you are contacting us from. We also show record of you using that email address for correspondence on helpdesk tickets. There is no injustice whatsoever going on here - we contacted you multiple times about your card expiring and your past due invoices. Normally accounts are suspended when they are 7 days past due. This is detailed in the TOS you agreed to when you signed up. We gave you an extra week, and we have not charged you a late fee or disconnection fee.

Additionally, your site was down for less than one hour from when we suspended it until you made payment and it was brought back online.

Is the post from WiredTree on this subject (as it was in the Dedicated Forum)

I didnt see ANY personal information that you did not already provide.

All they did was clarify that you had notice of your account expiring and you still chose to do nothing. They also notified you after it was overdue before terminating.

Why would they let you stay online if you didnt pay? How is that good business.

Here is his response, followed by mine.

No sense in dragging a company's name through the mud for no reason.

I agree, they gave him more than enough notice, next time he will need to pay attention to these kinds of things more.

They have already sent you several notices regarding payments due as mentioend so it is your duty get the CC info. fixed/updated. There is nothing much you should expect than this from a host.

It looks like there is a lot of posts missing in this thread. Thanks to Ryan for quoting them in again as we did not do anything wrong.

I would like to add that the original poster is still a client of ours :)

1. A refrence to site is better as any competitor of a hosting company can come up and post here.
2. Part of it lies with the customer as well to ensure timely payments. Its your site so you protect it more that others.
