Hi,
Anchor text is the text which is used as a hyper link to link with other website is called. I would explain this to you with the help of your post and the signature you have used.
"Machine cargo Machine" is called the anchor text as it is working as a text to the link. The advantage is your website will rank for this keyword that has been used as anchor text. It means if you will use your keywords as an anchor text, then it will be helpful for your ranking.

Anchor text is a valuable search engine optimization tool because the word or phrase used in anchor texts can pertain directly to the landing page content, or be one of the major keywords that the web page is trying to rank for. Anchor text is also heavily weighted in search engine algorithms, as algorithms look for the most relevant results for a search query and anchor texts are frequently relevant to the content of the landing page.

In my opinion Anchor text is simply the text used to represent a hyperlink. Anchor text is used to make links more attractive and to make it easier for the search engine to index back links in relation to specific keywords.

The anchor text is the visible characters and words that hyperlink display when linking to another document or location on the web. After the release of penguin update, it is not advisable to use your targeted keywords as anchor text while practicing several link building activities like blog commenting, directory submissions, article submissions etc.

Anchor text is the text used to describe a link when turning it into a hyperlink using HTML or XHTML coding. For example, if a web page had a link which the web page creator wishes to hide under text, the HTML code will turn a word or a phrase into anchor text, and that will work just like a normal link would. Anchor text is a valuable search engine optimization tool because the word or phrase used in anchor texts can pertain directly to the landing page content, or be one of the major keywords that the web page is trying to rank for. Anchor text is the actual text on a link to your web site. Instead of a link on a web site saying 'click here' and linking to your site, or simply listing your web site name, ideally you have text that describes what's on your site.

Anchor text is basically the “click-able” part of the the link from one web page to another.Anchor text can also be misused when the text does not explain where the link is going.

Anchor texts are good way to generate backlinks for your site but you have to be careful while making. The place where you are making anchor text should be related with your niche. Dont create un-necessary anchor texts everywhere. So be natural and dont spam.

Anchor text is the visible characters and words that hyperlink display when linking to another document or location on the web. In the phrase "CNN is a good source of news, but I actually prefer the BBC's take on events," two unique pieces of anchor text exist for two different links - "CNN" is the anchor text pointing to http://www.cnn.com/, while "the BBC's take on events" points to http://news.bbc.co.uk.

Search engines use this text to help determine the subject matter of the linked-to document. In the example above, the links would tell the search engine that when users search for "CNN", SEOmoz.org thinks that http://www.cnn.com/ is a relevant site for the term "CNN" and that http://www.bbc.co.uk is relevant to "the BBC's take on events". If many sites think that a particular page is relevant for a given set of terms, that page can manage to rank well even if the terms NEVER appear in the text itself.
