About Directory Webhosting

I want to maintain a web-directory. I need pure html generator software also. Not preferring php or dynamic pages to include in my directory. Is it possible to get this type of software with the hosting. I am new and have no any idea about web-hosting.

If you know the exact type of the software, your host may consider to help you with the installation or some host even may have such a script, so this will not be a problem.
