When a company offering reselling options totally screws things up for your, where's the recourse? No professional or governing bodies - nothing. It just seems companies can do anything they want and don't worry because there will be another reseller along any minute.

It is quite difficult understand what you meant exactly. I think you are talking reselling for resellers. Or what?

I started as a reseller a few years ago, and I changed several providers and I had lots of problems with every one of them. That's why I recommend to anyone interested in starting hosting business, to go directly the dedicated server route.
I agree, theres so many hosting companys out there now that come and go within a 1 to 2 month period you never know when one's going to up and dump all its customers without prior warning. Dedicated is the way to go, or at least a VPS from a well known provider.

Only in case of good skills in managment in other case - time wasting and and depraved reputation.
