HGello, my question is about the support level system that hosts like serverpoint.com use http://serverpoint.com/english/virtual-server-supportplans.phtml.
Is it unified and accepted by other hosts as well? how do these levels correlate with the support levels offered by other hosts?

I don't know any other company offering different levels of support for dedicated servers, you just get a managed dedicated server package or unmanaged, and that's all, I think this system is implemented by serverpoint.com only for their clients' needs.

There are differnt levels of management, but that is ofen defined by the company. I dont think there is a uniform defenition for support level. It varies a lot with companies, so does the service and price charged. Just take close attention of the terms specified by the company you are going to change.

Definitely no uniform definition of support, silver gold platinum, etc etc will be different at each provider.

Yes, Serverpoint.com have live chat badge on their web site, just I'm not sure whether they use it for handling presales questions or support via live chat as well.

As far as I know, all the companies have their own support level settings, as their customers preferences are varied in nature.
