I am surprised that there are so many positive HostGator recommendations here.
Usually they have questionable reputation. In many of the webhosting forums and groups they are usually not recomended as being part of a giant holding controlling them. They generally oversell their servers and their support is not very good. But they throw a lot of money on advertising and this is why they are so popular.

I didn't have any experience with both web hosting deal. but you can check their feedback and reviews in various web hosting forums and review sites.
