WordPress is one of the best CMS solution. But I think that in the web development should not be tied to one solution. For example, if the site is related to online sale is best to use Magento, WordPress is good for blogs etc..

I would like to suggest you two CMS, Wordpress and Magento. Magento development is little expensive in compare to Wordpress. In addition Wordpress offers various readymade plugins which you can use anywhere in the website. Wordpress installation is also easy so I preferred wordpress CMS more over Magento and other CMS.

As per my experience, Wordpress and Magento are more better than other due to their more features to use. The feature of Wordpress are more easier to use.

There are not many CMS for eCommerce that match the feature richness of PrestaShop. With more than 310 features that help you do business better, PrestaShop is right up the alley of those sellers who like nothing short of the most complete collection of functions in the CMS they use for web based selling. With powerful catalog management with differentiated product displays, in-built SEO features, a quick and efficient check out mechanism, integrated payments, marketing tools and security, PrestaShop emerges as a one stop solution for the web store selling needs of small, medium as well as large sized retailers.

You should consider using between WordPress (http://freemiumdownload.com/downloads/category/open-source/templates/wordpress/) and Magento (http://freemiumdownload.com/downloads/category/open-source/templates/magento/).

I agree with you all. Wordpress and Magento are best CMS for eCommerce site development. But there are many other paid platforms available like shopify, kartrocket, etc. They also provide best features and consultation for making your website.

Hello members! I agree with jane1. Magento is best but costly. it can't afford everyone. if you have a small budget, you can use WooCommerce for your site.

I would suggest, WordPress, Joomla or Magento. You can go with any one of them. Below are some differences between the WordPress and Joomla -

WordPress and Joomla both are popular CMS. Both are having open source software and are free to download. The base of these CMS is PHP and supports the MySQL database. Both are having number of free and paid templates and themes. Boith sites supports the multiple languages. Though both are similar, here are some differences between them -

1. Installation - WordPress installations is quite easy and takes less time compare to Joomla. Joomla also has the easy installation but it takes more time and complicated than the WordPress.

2. In-built themes and plugins - WordPress has the more number of free and easy to update the themes. When you will install the WordPress, it comes with the number of free themes. Also you can search the related theme and plugins from the admin panel of the WordPress. Joomla has the templates and extensions but those are not configured under Joomla admin panel, you will have to search them and after that you can install them.

3. Support Cost - Support cost for Joomla is more because it's not easy to find the Joomla expert easily. There are online forums, communities but when you will need the expert at your end then it's costs more for the Joomla.

4. Security - WordPress sites are the main target of the hackers. There are multiple security plugins and updates are available which secures your website from the hackers. Those are automatically get installed on the WordPress. Joomla has the extensions and new updates for securing the site. But we need to manually install them.

5. Importing the data - Importing the data on the Joomla is the hard task compare to WordPress. Also migrating the Joomla from one version to another is very hectic task.

Magento s also good. Magento is popular CMS after WordPress. It is one of the widely used CMS due to it's security and functionality. It has more complex options which users needs for managing the online store. Magento has multi-language support. Mangento is more popular because of it's ease and effective interface. That is why it is attracting the market.

So you can go with any of them. :)
