So I'm new to web hosting and I've been working on a site for teaching English in Korea. Now I hadn't thought about it before, but the site would probably run better for people in Korea if I found a host there wouldn't it?

Would anyone be able to recommend a good course of action if this is the case?

I was thinking of either hosting it here, and once all the flaws are fixed having someone over there set it up for me.

OR

Are there any reliable hosts in Korea who would have good english support?

Thanks for any help.

Actually it is no matter of where the host is located, its reliability is the real determinant. Hosting has no borders.

American companies are cheaper and thus it is more profitable to host with them, and site would be accessible from anywhere..

it should be ok anywhere, but get their country extension of the domain as well as dot com

I would recommend you go with US located web hosts. IMO you will see no difference in speed loading and for sure you will have english support
