What is exactly the big difference between domain name and URL? They say the domain name is the label of a website, while the URL is the address of it. Is this true? I always interchange them.

You can compare a website to a State. The state name would be the domain name. The domain name is the name that represents everything that website stands for. So a domain name is more for recognition.

URL is the map/address of everything on the website. Every state is made up of cities. If you want to find those cities you use the URL.

There is difference between domain name and url...domain name is main website like yoursite.com while url is yoursite.com/your-url.html

Hi in my opinion Domain name is your main Domain and urls means your inner page like a xyz.com/xyz so that is the difference both of them.
