Does your company provide any web site maintenance?
I'd like to know as glowhost.com (http://glowhost.edit.com/) has provided this option for their clients.
Need to know the price range of this service to compare them and make the right decision.

What do you mean under web site maintenance? They will not delete web site after your leaving them or what? I think that you need to make sure what does that mean exactly on their services.

I think it is better to deal with a specilized companies which provide thios kind of services: webhosts should provide web hosting, domain registrars - domain registration, seo companies - seo services, because they are raised for this and they know how to do it quality...Ask search engine for more options and you shall know the pricing tendency.

You are right, but if that is web hosting related issue I think that web host should take care of that.

I am with ~serverpoint~. Not a good idea to let hosts edit your scripts.

Why? Of all people, your hosting company should be you most trusted friend when hosting with them. I wouldn't give a second thought to my host editing my scripts if they fixed what was broken.

Website maintenance is an activity which is designed to keep a website running smoothly. It may be done on a regular basis, or scheduled as needed. In some cases, access to the website may be temporarily restricted while maintenance is performed, in which case a notice may be sent to users ahead of time to make them aware of the fact that the site will not be available during a specific time period on a particular day.
One reason to perform website maintenance is to update. It is important to keep information up to date, and to make sure that the systems used to run the website are also current. Having the latest programs on the backend will keep the website more secure, in addition to allowing people to keep up with changes. It will also improve user experience on the site, which can be very valuable for sites which want to build and retain large user bases.

Website maintenance allows a business to constantly stay updated online, and free of technical issues, rather than treating a website only as an information portal. A website can be so much more, and with the right maintenance tools and team behind you; you can grow your exposure, lead generation, and brand awareness 24 hours a day - each and every day without growing stale, out of date, or losing your professional edge.
What we usually encounter is a company who paid a very large sum of money to have their website built anywhere from three to five years ago. Then as they grew, their expertise or offerings were restructured; or they simply didn't have the man power or resources to keep their website up to date and functioning like it should. It soon was forgotten about, and an in-house IT person just wasn't in the budget to ensure that the website's information was accurate, fully online, and free of hacking attempts. Website maintenance can be used in varying degrees, whether you're looking to target marketing efforts, online sales, or solidifying yourself as the authority in your industry; we do it all!
