What useful tips would you provide from your own experience? What major factors should be usually taken into consideration when selecting a hosting account?

Look for the experience and specialized feature of the hosting company. Check the average uptime and reviews for the company. Finally look for affordable hosting packages, but not compromising reliability

Hi,

There are lot of people in market who can host your site and provide hosting services. That all depends, you want cheap services or quality services.

You may stick to the company that has a trial period, that's always pleasant.

you can try to contact them asking questions and see how fast they respond and how helpful they are. if you go with them just take daily backups until you fully trust them, it will help when trying to find a good host :)

That is right concern but that is not an index at all...

I think it depends on what kind of page or site you are looking to host. If you are looking to host a simple web page I would shop on price. I your looking to host a business site services and up time would be more important to me.

Web hosting is a service provided by companies that own servers that allows customers to publish their own web page. The types and price of web hosting varies greatly. It’s important to know what you need in a web host, and more importantly what the company offers,so that you don’t end up paying more while getting less.

On the unlimited accounts peoples are limited by CPU and memory usage and that prevent them to have offered sources

I would like to mention is that price is not everything. You want to choose the web host that is going to provide your needs as they stand now as well as where they lead to in the future.
Firstly, you have to understand the differing types of hosting solutions: shared, collocation server, unmanaged dedicated, and managed dedicated server, reseller accounts.
Secondly, go for stability, not just size, because if the host offers you unmetered and unlimited space, it doesn't mean you should make your decision on that.
Thirdly, you should be aware how their support staff is skillful.
Fourthly, find out the availability of their systems administrators and send them a support ticket and see how fast they respond.
Fifthly, if you do a research before beginning business, you will find a better avenue to the successful hosting.
As a matter of fact I'd like to recommend you to compare hostcats.com, lunarpages.com and ayksolutions.com - compare them and make your decision.

There are thousands of local dial-up access providers in the country, each of which also provides Web page hosting for businesses. I've learned that ISPs either specialize in dial-up access or Web page hosting, and it's a rare ISP that ends up doing both well.

Websites are one of the most popular forms of entertainment. While making a website is essential, the majority of beginners do not realize that web hosting is even more important.

Price

Price is very important. Make sure the price is reasonable. You want a balance. It can’t be too good to be true nor can it be too expensive.

Control Panel

You cannot really go wrong with cPanel as it's easy to use and feature rich.

Legal Documents

Make sure the host has clear legal documents and make sure you read them. They must have a privacy policy and terms of service.

Fantastico, Installatron

Both of these will allow you to install software such as Wordpress and Joomla in a couple of clicks.

Disk space, bandwidth

It's always better to go with a hosting plan that has limits. Make sure there is enough but not too much.

Support

What support do you prefer and what support does the host offer? Generally you will want support tickets and live chat. Phone support is a bonus.

Easy upgrades

Make sure your host will allow you to upgrade to a higher plan as your site grows.

Features

What other features does the host offer? How many emails accounts, databases etc

Money back guarantee

If they offer a money back guarantee make sure you read the terms carefully.

Testimonials

Testimonials are great providing they are real.

Jobs section

If the host is looking for staff there is a good chance they are not going anywhere :)

I hope I helped.
