This may be a very basic question ... but what's the difference between cloud hosting & hosting? Is it superior to the current web hosting? I've googled it, but the explanations I was getting didn't really clear my confusion up.
Thanks

I found a rough enough definition here
Cloud Computing is the simplification of the data center by leveraging virtualization technologies to reduce complexity through homogenizing environments. Consumers are concerned with services it can perform rather than the underlying technologies. - http://brajeshwar.com/2008/mosso-cloud-hosting/
Essentially large cluster server farms for web hosting.

For vps.net found a coupon code at codecoupondiscount.com/Vps.net/ for 25% discount.
I mention that because since the last post vps.net went live with quite a success. Maybe there are people interested in paying less for their services.

Cloud computing benefits the enterprises on two counts. One, because of virtualization and sharing of resources there is definitely costs reduction in terms of costs of hosting the application as well as management of the IT assets. Another aspect of the cloud hosting is distributed nature of the storage, processing and other IT assets which in a sense leads to optimal utilization of the resource infrastructure which is not possible in the case of dedicated application hosting.

Cloud computing is fast evolving from a futuristic technology into a commercially viable alternative for companies in search of a cost-effective storage and server solution. Cloud hosting is a computation or storage service that's supported by a pool of distributed computing resources.

i think cloud hosting it's an option for the new enterprises and sites who doesn't have the experience nor the money and it's a chepa option for a hosting service, intead of buy a quad core or an core with n-quad, you can pay only for using them, it's like a resources rental. A great idea for the future, now
