According to the theory of the sandbox effect, links which may normally be weighted by Google's ranking algorithm, not least improving the position of a webpage in Google's index, may be subjected to filtering to prevent their having a full impact.

Google sandbox is theory amongst webmasters that websites ranking potential is suppressed for new sites until they achieve a specify threshold of credibility or “Trust” according to algorithmic criteria. Before determining if a website has been put in the Sandbox you need to find out if the entire site was dropped from Google or if it has just been ranked down for certain keyword phrases.

It may seem that the Sandbox is unfair to newly launched websites, but Google created the Sandbox with good reasons. Google was trying to discourage spam sites from quickly reaching the top of Search Results, getting dropped off Google, creating a new site and repeatedly showing up high in Search Results.

The Sandbox (a.k.a. Sandboxing or the sandbox effect or the Google penalty) is a name given to an observation of the way Google ranks web pages in its index. It is the subject of much debate—its existence has been written about since 2004 but not confirmed, with several statements to the contrary.

The new web based sites are the ones that are most likely to be affected by this thing called as the Google Sandbox at the current times. Are you aware of this?

The Google Sandbox refers to an alleged filter that prevents new websites from ranking in Google's top results. Think of it like a probation period—even if you do everything right, your site won't get decent rankings until it comes to an end.
