Site wide links are links that appear on every page of a site. Where previously webmasters gained as many links as possible to boost their SEO, this black hat practice is no longer recommended or rewarded in the SERPs, as explained by webmarketinggroup.

Site wide link means a link which one appears in all pages of website. Site wide links are presented in the footer or sidebar of a website. It is very helpful for navigation purpose.

These links a re not entertained by the Google as from the same keyword getting so many links is like spamming. So one can use it in a good manner like from different keywords can use different links will help. Too many links from footer will considered as spam.

The links that place on every page of the site are called site wide links. Normally these types of links are placed in footer area of the page but can be placed any where.
