Hello rohit ..

I am not an expert. But I will throw some light ...

1. Use web optimized images (Some graphic software minimizes the image weight but still maintain reasonable quality)
2. Use same image accross your web site.
3. Define height and width for images > loads faster.
4. Use Cache rules in yoir .htaccess. So the images that are not modified ofter can be cached minimizing your bandwidth and loading faster)
5. Use 'ALT' tags so search engines know what the image is about.
6. Use meaningful names to images. (like 'roi-tracking.jpg' rather than image01.jpg)

Image optimization is a process of place a image in good position in search engines. Need perfect keyword research and place it caption at every image. you can also use meta tag for image. It is very good technique for site promotion . When you are optimizing the image keep in mind that the Google spiders or crawlers can' t read the images so use alt tags for optimizing the images.

Search engines don't read website images that's why we have to use ALT tag to optimize them.

Image optimization helps in improving page load speed, boosts websites' SEO ranking, and improves user experience. Page load speed is the amount of time taken by a web page to load completely.

Image optimization is about reducing the file size of your images as much as possible without sacrificing quality so that your page load times remain low. It's also about image SEO. That is, getting your product images and decorative images to rank on Google and other image search engines

They state, "words generally can't do a picture justice", which is without a doubt valid. We love to connect with visuals instead of words. The significance of pictures on web based business, travel, and media sites has been expanding over the time. As per HTTP Archive, on a normal, around 64% of a site's weight is included pictures. In the event that we can decrease the size of these pictures without diminishing the picture quality, at that point it will have an immediate and positive effect on page load rates and client experience of guests on your sites.

According to Gomez and Security, Cloud Delivery, Performance | Akamai, half of the clients love destinations which load in under 2 seconds. In the event that the page takes over 3 seconds to stack practically 40% of guests will in general leave that site, consequently expanding the bob rate. Picture improvement is the main answer for this issue.
