Search Engine gives results of two types: organic and paid. Organic search results are the Web page listings that most closely match the user’s search query based on relevance. Also called “natural” search results, ranking high in the organic results is what SEO is all about.

Paid results are basically advertisements, the Web site owners have paid to have their Web pages display for certain keywords, so these listings show up when someone search a query containing those keywords.

Banner Ads, Google Adwords are paid marketing.
Ethical SEO is writing meta, optimize the website and promoting it and does not cost much compare to paid marketing.

Paid Results
Just like it sounds, paid search engine results show the advertisers who are paying for the search engines to list their text ad when particular keywords are searched. In search results, they are clearly identified as “Sponsored Results” and appear either above or to the right of the free (organic) results. Advertisers compete by bidding on keywords, and depending on their bid and ad budget, the search engines determine the placement or ranking of their ads. Typically placement is based on how much an Advertiser is willing to pay for 1 click. In a pay-per-click (PPC) campaign, the advertiser pays each time someone clicks on the link inside of their text advertisement. The price increases with the competitiveness of the keyword used.
Organic Results
Organic results are search engine results that are returned by indexing pages based on their content and relevance of keywords. It is much more valuable to be listed highly in the organic search results than in the PPC advertisements, as searchers tend to trust these results more than paid ones. Most consumers feel these results are a more accurate reflection of what they might want when searching for a specific phrase. They are also generated by popularity and usage. Being listed in organic results has minimal cost, gets your site more traffic, and provides you with a longer lasting rank. Getting your pages to appear high up in organic results is a combination of relevant page content, proper title tags, keywords and meta tags – all parts of proper SEO.

The most immediate difference between the two types of search engine results is the location on the page. The “sponsored results” appear on the top or the side of the organic results in a more prominent location on the page. The ordering of the results as well as whether a link is at the top versus the side of the page is based on the amount of money that the campaign has designated for that search term per click as well as how many different campaigns are vying for that position. For more information about Google’s Pay Per Click program click. The organic results are left to display in the middle of the page under and inside of the sponsored results. The organic results are often referred to as the “regular” listings.

Organic Search results are permanent and paid are "one time click". You can see the website name in the SERP as per the keyword ranking with the help of SEO Efforts. While in PPC, your website will be seen until the budget is there and as per the keyword bidding value.
