Migrate Blogger to WordPress?

I have one mate he wane to migrate her blogger to wordpress how can i do that and what will be the effect of this on his website can any one give me idea.

Yes, when you will change your domain, You will lose your ranking on search engines.

Sadly zeninye is correct. Since with wordpress you can have your own domain (www.j-e-m.com , as an example) and blogger provides you with a separate domain (jemfulfilment.blogspot.co.uk, as an example).

Sadly, not even a 301 redirect or any other methods of redirecting traffic will save your friends rankings.

Best option. I would advise your friend to build their ideal word press Site / Blog. Once thats up, then they can make a simple sitemap, popular posts, or some other page and use anchor links to link back to their previous blogger blog. This way they still have their rankings from the previous site and those anchor links will pass some 'juice' to the new site.

I think its like staring from scratch but the contents can just be posted on a new domain.
