You can use as many as keywords you want to. But see that you stay away from any spam intentions. You need to distribute the keywords per page with respect to the keyword density guideline by google. Track your competitors to get an indepth knowledge on this as well as the kind of keywords to focus on.

I dint say about focusing on one competitor, you need to sort out the top two or three competitors. Have you heard about initial or competitor anlaysis? It is while performing this analysis where we do these things.
