I have been hearing this from a lot of time now and not sure about the practical and verified effect of SSL on a website. Have anyone noticed something important about this?

SSL means Secure Sockets Layer. now SSL is very important for the website to get rank in google search engine. it's related with your site security.

SSL is not too much value. the backlinks still important. just checking the keywords ranking, the website without SSL still ranks high. so why waste money to buy SSL.

SSL associated with HTTP gives you HTTPS and this signifies security. Before few months, google announced that it will be giving sling priority to HTTPS signals. However, these can turn out to be a strong signal, when your website is ecommerce or anything related to such field.

Google recently invested in having their “services use industry-leading security, like strong HTTPS encryption by default.” This gives the browser user a secure connection when using a Google service.
