Google Adwords is best good option to decided the keywords competition. if you want to know that which keywords for sites will give good results for your site, you should use keywords which has good traffic and low competition. High Competition keywords is not useful to get good rank in search engines.

Generally speaking, it is basically a bidding process for advertisements. If there are more advertisements trying to be shown for very few search results, the cost to get your ad displayed first will be more costly. The more pageviews, but less advertisements, means that you won't have as much competition for your ad, so you wouldn't have to pay as much for it.

SO it pretty much involves the advertisement volume, based on the keyword search volume. The more advertisements trying to get into a limited keyword search volume, the more it will cost to advertise in that keyword.
