Hello! I have an interview for a SEO internship for this company, Blacklane (https://www.blacklane.com/en), but I am mixing some concepts, could someone explain to me which is the difference between crawl and index? Which tool do you use for getting keywords? Thanks!

Crawl is the process of reading the webpage source, while index is the storing of the crawled webpages in search engine database. For keywords you can use Google Keyword Planner as the best free keyword research tool.

There are really good and important question. When a search engines download the site pages, it's called crawling and when a search engine download (crawls) the site pages and saves to its data base (index) to give results, it's called indexing.

Crawlers look at webpages and follow links on those pages, much like to link and bring data those webpages back to the Google servers.

Google Index lists all of the webpages that Google knows about. When google visits your site, it detects new and updated pages and updates the Google index.
