Hi,

Here are few ways to secure your website from hacking -

1) Strengthen the operating system - Upgrade the OS and remove the unnecessary tools and utilities.

2) Encrypt and Authenticate - Allot different servers for different tasks, you will be able to encrypt all the login sessions and install access control making IM (instant messaging) more secure.

3) Test and Re-Test - Test your web security again and again.

If you have any further queries, please feel free to ask. :)

Use a complicated password for control panel, FTP's, database, email accounts and if you are using WordPress make sure it and plugin versions are updated.

You should use encrypted software for special security of your data. All online payment dealing sites use such type of security. You should take backup of your data daily against any threat of its loss if your site does not deal with online payments. Keeping backup of data is very necessary. You can purchase removable drive according to its capacity from the markets to keep your data safe. I use 1000 gb drive for keeping my data safe. Whenever i update data i take its backup.

Encrypt a Hard Drive or USB Flash Drive Using TrueCrypt
One of the best options for securing files on your computer and on external drives is a free open source disk encryption utility called TrueCrypt. It works with Windows, Linux, and Mac and allows you to encrypt an entire drive, partition, or flash drive or create an encrypted file store in which you can store sensitive data files and take them with you. The following articles show you how to use TrueCrypt in Windows and on the Mac and how to protect a flash drive using TrueCrypt.

Theft is not the only thing on the mind of a hacker: Sheer destruction is a major motivator. Hackers may want to destroy all your records, put a sick message on your customers’ screens or just destroy your reputation.

You can never undo the damage done by a hacker; you can take steps to prevent it.

1. You need to stay up to date with hacking threats

2. Toughen up access control

3. Update everything

4. Tighten network security

5. Install a web application firewall

6. Install security applications

Measures that can be taken to keep data secure include: making regular backups of files backup copies should be stored in fireproof safes or in another building protecting yourself against viruses by running anti-virus software. using a system of passwords so that access to data is restricted.

Update website software.

blank index.html documents for folders that you do not want the directories viewable.

Proper permissions for files and folder. Have seen so many problems caused by people who assign 777 or 755 to everything

Beware of “Free Plugins and Themes” that are not approved by the web script developers.

Beware of paid plugins and themes that are not supported or updated.

Be modest. Don’t brag about yourself, how much money you make or how you have never been hacked.

Use a good hosting company and take backups of your site.

Always install all updates and install the security plugins. Also, do not forget to protect your phone from spy apps https://realspyapps.com/ (https://realspyapps.com/) that in general are used to track your activity in social networks but they can be also used to get your private data such as passwords and so on. You must be sure that nobody has an access to your data.
