What are my payment options?
The preferred method of payment is credit card, though we also accept company check, money order, cashier's check, PayPal or wire transfer. Those using the hosted SmarterTrack service will be charged by credit card on a monthly basis and are billed one month in advance.
Can I try your products before buying them?
Of course! You can start a 30 day trial for SmarterMail, SmarterTrack (installed and hosted) and SmarterStats from the product's webpage of this site, or simply contact our Sales Team at sales@smartertools.com. During business hours you can also start a live chat or call us at 1.877.257.6278.
Can I upgrade the edition or level of my license?
You can upgrade your license's level (number of mailboxes/agents/sites) or edition (Professional to Enterprise) at any time simply by paying the difference in cost between the license you currently have and the license you now need (within the same major version). Those using the hosted SmarterTrack service can upgrade their agent subscription at any time and pay the prorated cost for that month.
Do you offer any product discounts?
We do! Non-profit, government and educational institutions may qualify for discounted license purchases, as well as bulk purchasers and authorized Reseller Partners.
What about bug fixes and patches?
We encourage customers to upgrade to the latest version of the software to ensure access to the most recent features. For this reason, there is never a charge for bug fixes, patches or minor versions that may be released to license holders within the current major version (for example, from version 1.1 to version 1.2). Customers with current Upgrade Protection also have access to major version upgrades at no additional charge.
What is Upgrade Protection?
SmarterTools customers are provided 12 months of Upgrade Protection coverage with the purchase of any new SmarterMail, SmarterTrack, or SmarterStats license. Upgrade protection includes access to all major and minor version upgrades for 12 months from the date of purchase at no additional charge.
Are product purchases refundable?
Products created by SmarterTools and purchased through our website are refundable during the first 15 days. Those using the hosted SmarterTrack service are not eligible for refunds as this service utilizes a pay-as-you-go pricing plan which is billed one month in advance.
How long are support tickets valid?
Based on our accounting requirements, all support tickets expire 12 months from the date of purchase. In addition, to receive technical support, the ticket must first be submitted to the Support Department. To submit a purchased ticket, log into your account at the Support Portal and click on Tickets.
