Generally, an Internal Link is a link that goes to a the same domain. For example, example.com to example.com/contact

The importance of Internal links are the following:

- Can have a easy access for the users who is viewing the website or it guides the user.
- It establish the sites structure. Search engines do not rank and index websites as a whole. Instead, the search engines rank individual pages that are part of your overall web structure.
- Navigation. Links in the body text, Menu bar links, Footer links, Sidebar links.
- Better Keyword Targeting. Internal linking is 100% your control, so, its easier for you to manage your keywords.
