The File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is a standard network protocol used to transfer computer files from one host to another host over a TCP-based network, such as the Internet. FTP is built on a client-server architecture and uses separate control and data connections between the client and the server.

FTP, File Transfer Protocol, was the best tool for transferring big files decades ago. It is used for public-file sharing (especially for things like Linux kernel source repositories). FTP is very tricky to get it working behind a NAT and many FTP sites are heavily used and required several attempts before connecting.

FTP stands for file transfer protocol, it is a standard network which is used to transfer the files over the network(i.e. from host to another host). FTP is based on client-server architecture and always uses separate control and data connections between the client and server. It is most standard, simplest but not the most secure way to exchange the files over the network.

FTP is an acronym for File Transfer Protocol. As the name suggests, FTP is used to transfer files between computers on a network. You can use FTP to exchange files between computer accounts, transfer files between an account and a desktop computer, or access online software archives. Keep in mind, however, that many FTP sites are heavily used and require several attempts before connecting.

FTP is an abbreviation which stands for File Transfer Protocol. It is a Network Protocol which is used to transfer computer files between Client and server over a network.
However it was not designed to be a secure protocol, and has many security vulnerabilities. Like-
1. Brute Force attack.
2. Username protection.
3. Packet capture.
4. FTP bounce attack.
5. Spoofing attack.

FTP(File Transfer Protocol) is a client-server protocol that relies on two communications channels between client and server: a command channel for controlling the conversation and a data channel for transmitting file content. Clients initiate conversations with servers by requesting to download a file. Using FTP, a client can upload, download, delete, rename, move and copy files on a server. A user typically needs to log on to the FTP server, although some servers make some or all of their content available without login, also known as anonymous FTP.

The File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is a standard network protocol used to transfer computer files between a client and server on a computer network.
FTP is built on a client-server model architecture and uses separate control and data connections between the client and the server. FTP users may authenticate themselves with a clear-text sign-in protocol, normally in the form of a username and password, but can connect anonymously if the server is configured to allow it. For secure transmission that protects the username and password, and encrypts the content, FTP is often secured with SSL/TLS (FTPS). SSH File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) is sometimes also used instead, but is technologically different.
The first FTP client applications were command-line programs developed before operating systems had graphical user interfaces, and are still shipped with most Windows, Unix, and Linux operating systems. Many FTP clients and automation utilities have since been developed for desktops, servers, mobile devices, and hardware, and FTP has been incorporated into productivity applications, such as web page editors.

File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is a client/server protocol used for transferring files to or exchanging files with a host computer. It may be authenticated with usernames and passwords. Anonymous FTP allows users to access files, programs and other data from the Internet without the need for a user ID or password.

FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol, it is a standard network protocol for transfering computer files between the client and server. The most widely used FTP clients are WinSCP and FileZilla. Personally, I prefer to use WinSCP, because it is really easy to use and user friendly, moreover, it offers more options for the file protocol including FTP and sFTP. I highly recommend you to use WinSCP to upload files (https://vpsrobots.com/documents/how-to-upload-a-file-to-vps-through-sftp.html).

FTP is a customer server convention that depends on two correspondences channels among customer and server: a direction channel for controlling the discussion and an information channel for transmitting document content. Customers start discussions with servers by asking for to download a document. Utilizing FTP, a customer can transfer, download, erase, rename, move and duplicate records on a server. A client commonly needs to sign on to the FTP server, albeit a few servers make a few or the majority of their substance accessible without login, otherwise called unknown FTP.

FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol. FTP essentially transfers these web page files to the computer server so others can access them. FTP can also be used to download files or programs from the Internet to your computer. When you download these files, you are transferring them from other servers through FTP.

File Transfer Protocol.

The File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is a standard network protocol used for the transfer of computer files between a client and server on a computer network.

FTP, or File Transfer Protocol, is one of the standard internet protocols used to transfer data files between a client and a server over a computer network. It was developed in the early 1970s by Abhay Bhushan while he was a student at MIT.

FTP is used to transfer files between computers on a network. It can use FTP to exchange files between computer accounts, transfer files between an account and a desktop computer, or access online software archives. Uploading involves transferring files from a personal computer to a server.

FTP is a way to transfer files online. An FTP server offers access to a directory, with sub-directories. Users connect to these servers with an FTP client, a piece of software that lets you download files from the server, as well as upload files to it.
